Our Story

Meet Joey Imbesi,

the brains and spirit behind Briardale Ostrich farm. Though he has had a lifelong background in agricultural and horse farming, it was around age 15 that he found his true passion: Ostrich. “Why ostriches?”, if you ask Joey, the answer is simple: “it just makes sense”. Through the last decade Joey has spent all of his free time researching ostrich rearing and the benefits of ostrich based products. He carefully cultivated a solid foundation and understanding of how ostrich will make an impact in the market as a product for health conscious and environmentally aware consumers. Over the past year, with an onslaught of determination, he has managed to transform an old cattle ranch into an idyllic Ostrich operation in south Florida. The end goal for Joey is to create a healthier and more sustainable food system, but he finds new inspiration every day as more discoveries are made on the seemingly endless applications for ostrich based products.
